The Key To Your Dream Body

The majority of people who want weight loss want it now and with minimal effort, this is probably true for you reading to. You want your results and you want them by tomorrow with minimal amount of effort right? If that’s true then my response is “tough” achieving your goals is not easy and nor should it be. You should have to work hard for them, especially if you want to respect it. If I had a magic wand and could grant you an amazing body by tomorrow I give it a 6-12 months until you are out of shape again, why? Because you wouldn’t know how to achieve that body, you wouldn’t know how to maintain it and you don’t have the respect for it because you haven’t built it. Whereas the people you see in good shape all year around have worked hard for years to achieve it, they respect it and are in the right mindset to keep it.

You want something you have to work hard for it, period. Nothing in life worth having comes easy, when it does you don’t respect it. Lottery winners are more likely to claim bankruptcy within three to five years, 70% of people who do win the lottery end up bankrupt, why? Because they haven’t earned that money they don’t respect it or know how to be rich and successful. Same thing would happen with your fast fitness results. The sooner you understand you need to put the work in to get the body you want the quicker and easier you will get results.

A staggering 95% of all diets fail, that is a huge number and the reason why they fail is because 1) they don’t educate and 2) they are quick solutions not life time habit changes. You need to chose a diet you can be consistent with, enjoy and you know what it is that you are doing. I don’t mean to bash any diet but slimming world has “free foods” meaning you can have unlimited amounts. You can’t eat unlimited amounts of ANY foods you will gain weight! This doesn’t teach you a healthy relationship with food, it teaches you to follow a plan. What happens when you don’t follow a plan and go solo? You put the weight back on.

What you need to do is follow a plan you enjoy and one that helps you learn along the way. One of my favourite quotes I mention a lot is “long term consistency trumps short term intensity” - Bruce Lee. Meaning that following a quick rapid weight loss diet will only lead to short term results and will soon leave you gaining more weight than you lost. Whereas a long term consistent approach following a healthy diet you can see yourself sticking to and a workout routine that will make you fitter, healthier and stronger will give you results for life.

You need to be able to follow a diet plan all week, if you are eating like a rabbit Monday to Friday then having a blow out on the weekend you will out do your weeks hard work. If you go gym 4 times for 3 weeks then don’t go for 2 weeks you will lose your previous hard work. You must stay consistent in everything you do if you want results and you must work hard, remember there is no easy fix or solution.

If you want short term results that lead to you gaining the weight soon after its lost, choose the fast route. But if you want awesome result for life that you know how to look after and maintain then choose a plan you can follow long term and be consistent with.
