Something I Never Thought I'd Share

I want to share something with you that I never thought I ever would but if it means potentially helping someone and allowing you to relate to me more then its something I want to do.

So here it is.

Over the last year or so I’ve been going through some hard and difficult times and over the past few months I have had bouts of suffering with mental health and loneliness.

There where somedays I just didn’t want to get out of bed and put on a brave face and if it wasn’t for the fact I would of been letting my clients down I definitely would of stayed in.

There have been days where I felt very alone and isolated even though I’ve had great people with me that I love to be around.

Even during some of the best days I’ve had with close friends I still felt down and isolated, it was so strange.

It’s very hard to explain why that is but the feeling was very real and hard to deal with.

Running my own business is amazing and I love it because its my passion.

Owning my own studio is awesome to my clients get completely secluded training sessions, we don’t have to wait for equipment, theres no need for them to feel self conscious or intimidated. This makes every session very enjoyable for me and them.

All my clients are awesome and I have such a fantastic time training them each day it is like I’m just hanging out with my friends and training them.

But having my own studio and business means I have no coworkers, no one there to bounce ideas off with and no one to watch and learn from.

This can make it a very lonely journey regardless of being surrounded by great individuals throughout the day.

But when I have no clients and I’m having lunch or working on training programmes, social media content, brushing up on my education or working out it is all by myself.

Note: In no way am I looking for sympathy and I don’t want you to ask if I’m okay because i’m fine and I love my work and my life I just know theres plenty of people out there who go through the same and I want you to know you’re not alone.

If you are going through this then by no means should you go through it alone either because it’s tough.

Growing and working to build my business has been nothing but enjoyable for me and thats because it runs off passion and a want to help people but this doesn’t mean some times haven’t been tough.

And if it wasn’t for it being tough I don’t think I would of been able to deal with this loneliness and mental health alone for as long as I have as it helped me become thick skinned and a hard worker.

There was a point a couple months back where it did get too much for myself though and I sought help with a counsellor that I have collaborated with.

He has helped me to understand why I felt this way, learn more about myself, helped me through the difficult times/situation ive been going through and has pushed me to do things I never thought I would.

In fact whilst you’re reading this i’ll be on a beach with a group of people i’ve never even met, a few weeks ago I booked a holiday for myself with no one else.

Never before would I have done either of those things but he helped push me to do them.

Seeing him also makes me accountable to improve my health because I don’t want to go back to the next session and tell him i’ve done nothing towards helping myself.

Since going I am in a much better place than when I started, sure I still have tough days but I know how to deal with them now.

Most people give up at things because of lack of support, feeling lonely and not having someone there to help them when they need it most.

This is true for fitness to, most people quit when they have to do it all alone, it becomes too hard and too lonely.

That’s why it makes it so much easier when you get your partner following the same healthy eating routine.

Finding that right gym partner that helps keep you motivated and turning up to the gym.

Without these you run the risk of feeling lonely and giving up.

All my clients see me for the same reason I went to see Alan (my counsellor) for support knowledge and expertise along with that accountability.

They know that having the information is hugely beneficial but without that added accountability and support they won’t have the motivation to apply it.

Taking on your fitness goals alone will be more difficult and results will be slower than if you had someone there providing support and knowledge.

Make it your mission to get your partner on board or to find that gym buddy so you don’t have to go at it alone as it increase your chances of quitting.

You can also come see me for a free weeks trial where you’ll be educated, motivated, learn fun workouts and experience the level of support I give to every one of my clients.

And you’ll get all of this without having to make a commitment.

If you’d like to experience the supportive and educational journey I take my clients through then please feel free to email me louis@lemongfrogfitness.org requesting your free trial.

If you or anyone you know would benefit or are interested in counselling then I can’t recommend Alan and his team enough, I will attach the website HERE for you.

Whatever journey you are going through wether it be fitness or mentally then please don’t do it alone find someone to help you.

A huge thank you for reading and be sure to take care of yourself :)

Best Wishes,

Louis
